| | | | By now you have read the news story of Senator Barack Obama's appearance at Jerusalem's Wailing Wall and the fact that the prayer he left was taken out of the wall by a Yeshiva student and published in the media.
I'm sure each of us can identify with the invasion of privacy this was to Sen. Obama's private faith and the desecration this was to the Jewish religious community who holds such inserted prayers as sacrosanct between the individual and their faith. Which is how it should be.
I think Sen. Obama has shown a great deal of integrity and private resolve by remaining silent about the incident. I feel it is a testimony to his faith and to the nature of the prayer we learned about through this unfortunate breach of religious privacy.
I lift my voice in prayer to Sen. Obama's prayer and like all prayers I learn about I add my prayers to his being heard and honored.
Peace, ML

| | | | | | | | | | I wonder how Zanny would feel if his private religious prayer right was violated by being published to the world, after he filed that prayer in the sanctuary of Jerusalem's Wailing Wall. Is nothing sacred?
You will also notice I posted this under the Religion forum, not the Politics forum.
Can we keep this discussion thread religious based, please?
