Do you believe this to be so?

I'm a firm believer in Karma. One of my tattoos represents the "power of 3"...good and bad things happen in threes..

Have you ever found this to be true?

I know I believe this very strongly, since it is what we would call the Three Fold Law, in my faith. Most people I think only really see this if it is something good that happens to them or something horrible that happens to others. But if you look at the mundain things in life, it does apply there as well.

"To know, is to know you know nothing."

-nods-
I do believe that.

Example:
Last year among the staff at my place of employment (mind you, there are only 15 people on full-time staff here) we had 3 relatives die within 2 weeks of one another (2 from my own family).

This fall, 3 bad things (husbands car accident, the death of the brother of a staff member, death of a parent of a staff member) all within several hours of one another.

On that very same day 3 good things balanced it out: the birth of twins by a staff members sister, birth of a baby by someone on staff

You know...we all did foolish things in our younger days. But whether anyone chooses to believe this or not...I was a rotten individual up until maybe 10 years ago. There was a time where I was a liar, a cheat, and a thief. And the worst part was...I did these things to the people that cared most about me. I have no idea why, really. I can neither rationalize it nor make any excuses. However...it wasn't until people started doing these things to ME...that I finally understood what I was putting people through. That's all it took for me to get my shit together and put myself on the road to becoming what I consider an individual of considerable character. To this day however...when ever someone wrongs me in a way that I wronged others so many times in my life...I don't get angry. In fact...it's often hard not to have a little laugh. Because I had it coming to me. And I feel I probably have a lifetime ahead of me where I'm bound to pay for my past mistakes. I'm greatful for the disposition however...because were I a model individual growing up...I probably wouldn't be able to rationalize things very well when I get screwed over NOW.

The saying can also be "Ye reap what ye sow"

Same premise.

You do bad things, they will come back on you MUCH harder than what you dealt out.

I thought "karma" was stuff you did in a past life coming back to you....

not something you did a couple years ago or whatever....

because it seems that there is no way to justify things that happen based on what good or bad someone does in this life...

for example, the the baby born with a terrible disease....

I also tend to believe the idea that "what goes around, comes around"

but the idea that things happen in threes is just a coincidence.
Humans excell in finding causal relationships where none exist.
