| | | | | God you are a bunch of sorry human beings |
| | | | | Geoff, that couldn't be truer. I want to thank you for posting that.
Butters, get a clue.Better yet, get a life.
My family is well known for supporting the Paralyzed Veterans of America, with donations several times a year. We have done this for close to 15 years now.
Although I am female, and I have never been in the Military, I have a deep respect for those who have served. I would go out of my way to help a Serviceman or woman over anyone outside my immediate family, any day, and for any reason.
I believe in in "harm none."
I believe in Karmic Law.
I also believe Freedom Is Not Free. And military personnel are the ones who pay the bottom-line price for my right to spout my mouth off, and practice the religion I choose to follow.
Enough said. |
| | | | | Id like to start by saying Butters, your comments don't offend me as a man who has had to live the life mentioned in that post by Geoff. In fact I simply pity anyone who doesn't believe anything is worth fighting or dying for. You are indeed the pathetic human being who cant understand that a military is required. And its not the soldier who decides who he fights. But his government. We stand for the defense of America otr whatever nation that soldier is apart of, Kasteele made a good point...there are countless countries with thier troops over here, and even though we have the predominant numbers it does not lessen thier contribution and sacrafice, so if any of those foreign military individuals are here...thank you...but back to the comment towards Butters, 9/11 should tell you that "Gods will" is different for everyone of every religion, or the warped and perverted versions they follow.
Also I'm an athiest, so no offense to those who are religious...I do not mean this as an attack on those who truely follow the word of God and not posture themselves as better than others. But screw the word of God. Through the word of God there has been more death and killing than for any other reason. But I digress...as I said that was not an attack on those who are spiritual, only on those whom think themselves better. Oh and doesn't the bible say judge not lest ye be judged? So unless you are free of sin and there is nothing you do at all that is wrong, who are you to judge anyone?
Now to Geoff and all the others posting here. This is my second time in Iraq. And to put it simply this time things are a little better for me...not quite as dangerous as the last job I had over here. But lets just say alot of what was said in that post applied to my life then.
I just want to say thank you. A soldier cannot feel pride in his service if the people he fights for do not understand or support it. Believe it or not your thanks offer the life of the troops that fight. I admit I shy away at the thanks, at the term "hero" for I truely dont think myself deserving of such. It however is nice to hear...and nice to know there are those out there who understand we don't do this to kill...but to protect.
Oh and by the way Butters....if your such a strict follower of Gods willa nd law. Well then saying God in a moment of frustration while issuing an insult IS IN FACT TAKING THE LORDS NAME IN VAIN. Isnt that a sin?....I could have sworn it was. This message was edited by xXAshXx{silver} on 3-29-07 @ 8:01 AM |
| | | | | Ash, I completely support you. I may not agree with war, but you have my back!
The guy I'm sorta dating was sent to Iraq twice, once right after 9/11 and again a year or two ago. He was an Army Ranger, so he experienced quite a bit of action. He told me that the majority of Iraq is very peaceful and that the actual fighting is taking place only in certain areas.. that the media just likes to embelish it so that it seems like all Iraqi's protest us being over there, etc. etc. But even with all of that, it's amazing hearing first hand what you guys experience over there, especially since we're so sheltered from everything here in the states. I blame the media for a lot of that, plus the degrees of separation we have from not living in or near Iraq. His younger brother is over there now, and he definitely doesn't have it as rough as Shawn did. Shouldn't we call that proof that something's getting done?
~ you came into my life like a brick through a window, and I cracked a smile. ~ |

| | | | | My sons father is a retire Army Ranger...I am the proud friend of several men and women serving in Iraq...And I am certainly the most proud woman to say I am friends with retired military men and woman that have served this country...
Thank you so much for doing a wonderful job. No matter ones position on any war at anytime and place, a job is a job. We all do our jobs no matter how much we hate or love them, because we are asked to do them.
This is our country and I am a very proud person of the United States of America and a proud mother of a child whose parent that has served this great nation.
God Bless the people of our nation and God bless those of us that strive to correct the wrongs and those of us that do what is right. We are by far not a perfect nation, but various ones of us do our best to do what is right. Thank you to the parents who teach their children values, morals, love, and faith in family. And thank you to those that teach others the value of truth and honesty..
Happy 4th of July to the Porkster families....
