| | | | | It couldnt have been said any better Annie mae!
Parents dont pay enough attention to what their kids are doing on line!
MySpace, or any other web site isnt to blame, the kids themselves and the parents are.
It would be no different if a child came in here and started something and someone got in trouble from it. Does that make Cradz and the pork to blame just for being here??? NOPE!This message was edited by ~Rose~Red~ on 6-1-06 @ 1:59 AM |
| | | | | | I agree with Annie and Rose. I have two daughters that are at "that" age. When they use the internet, I am home sitting on the couch behind them, if not in a chair next to them. At times, they may not like it, but that's the terms and they accept it or no internet. They do not have thier own email accounts, they use mine. And they don't have any profiles at any my space type places. Honestly, I don't see the need. They do however chat on yahoo, but again it's my account, so I can always check who is on my list under thier category and "see" who they are chatting with. I like to think that I am one of the more liberal moms when it comes to giving them freedom to express themselves and creativity, but from what I hear I guess not. ~laughs~ And they may complain at times, because I won't allow them to have "boyfriends" at thier age or thier own email account. But if you ask them if they feel restricted, they would tell you no. I have taught them that just because all thier friends do it and that thier parents allow them to do it; doesn't make it safe or right. And they understand that. They know that thier mom cares and loves them and does what is right and safe for them even if they want to do it. I spend time with my kids and talk to them. I get to know my kids. Alot of parents these days do not make that time and it's a shame. And sorry I know that this is a place for where you post about whether or not you have a myspace account, but mine is for networking with the friends I have lost contact with and fellow current classmates with which I attend college with. So, I had not posted before this, but I had to say that this parent does take some steps to prevent what tragically happens to some kids. All this blaming the internet for what happens to the youth today rings like the 80's and heavy metal...Metallica made my son do it crap. ~laughs~ |

Not too much on it now, but hey, it's not so bad. Please hit me up!
thanks. |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Of Course Parents tend to always kill everything that are fun for kids. AS IF Kristins mom would not have been all over Myspace flashing her boobs if it had been around when she was a teenager. |
